Summertime Is Past and Gone - We've had a great summer, hope you've had one, too. So many things to say, so little space...
Sam's Is Still Our Steady - The third Tuesday of the each and every month is our favorite day. Why? 'Cause it means we're playing at Sam's BBQ in San Jose. Three sets of rip-snorting, cry-your-eyes-out, tap-n-yer-toes bluegrass and country music, followed by a rack of ribs, a veggie burger, a salad, a chilled beer, perhaps even a tall glass of lemonade. Check out our Calendar Page for specifics and c'mon down.
Larry Is Steady Once More - No more banjo creek jumping for this Cabinite. Larry is recovering nicely from a banjo-induced leg injury he sustained at Father's Day Bluegrass Festival this past June. "My best impersonation of a 25-year-old for the start of the jump, and an 85-year-old for the landing." Ouch. Can you say physical therapy? Stre-e-e-e-t-ch.
Yvonne Is Gonna Have Some Free Time - Word on the street is that Dr. Y will be spending a little less time at the office come the end of October. Her next job? Her next bluegrass festival? Her next bike race? Place your bets today!
Bryan Has Been Married for a Year - Hard to believe, and now he is up to his neck in (multiple choice time): a) house payments; b) arguments with the mrs.; c) unused golf clubs; d) strange plumbing fixtures; e) all of the above. Did you really need to study for this exam?
Thanks to Our Subs - We three Cabinheads sure are thankful for the many, many folks who play/sit in with us on a regular basis (or is that bassist?): Dave Walker, Dan Booth, Hide Kawatsure, Phil Cornish, Dave Magram, Meghan Herring, Jim and Louise Mintun, and John McNeill.
